hy all im quite stuck my alternators packed in and ive gone to remove it ive got every bit far as removing the 2x property bolts only its on a shaft type matter how do i remove it from this ,its a ford connect tddi

before you go whatsoever further have you lot read the sticky in the main transit connect forum, i think its the 4th i down chosen 'Battery low-cal, Alternator low-cal, warning light'? as its not always the alternator that goes on these vans, but if it is the alternator subsequently you accept checked the wiring then after you undo all the bolts and unplug the wiring loom then it should come off, you might need to use a pry bar only to loosen it as information technology may of corroded on slightly

ye firstly i checked the battery with multimeter and its merely holding 11.3v with engine running with new battery i then checked the 3 wires from alternator they looked ok and then im guessing its alternator oh and belt waz ok , i managed to become it out fairly easy just looks complicated underneath lol

I had the problem with the wires on my connect have u checked the wires about iv/five inches upwardly the plastic cleaving from the alternator that was my problem mate

hy all just got new alternator and fitted its pulling just over 16v on running is this normal because i thought information technology was usually near 14v likewise my battery light is on why

For the sake of £20 I'd get a new 3wire loom as when my bombardment light was on I checked it thoroughly and all seemed fine. Calorie-free wouldn't get of and then but got a new one and problem solved.

plugs in nether the bombardment tray IIRC, runs accross the elevation of the rad fan shroud and then downwardly under the tray

Beat me to it 
If you've got admission underneath then it'due south straight forrad (which I presume you have seeing as the alternator is coming out). If non then remove the intercooler and it'due south a doddle to see

Yous'll probably find your one-time alternator is fine, its just the wiring loom as we've been trying to tell you all along. 
The isolation on the wires goes porous and allow moisture in to the copper wire so over time the copper corrodes and eventually snaps with the vibration from the engine, although the insulation looks fine the wire inside isn't. I've changed my loom twice so far, the van is but on 120k miles but that'southward considering of the amount of table salt they put on Cumbrian roads.

hy just tryed to become to my loom and information technology goes into a flexi pipe embrace with other cables is this a pain to remove and the intercooler can this be removed easy or does information technology have coolant or out like that regards ste

Intercooler only has air passing through it and it'south just a case of jubilee clips and bolts.
The 3 wire loom is encased in a flexi pipage past itself with twos plug at each finish. I've need known it to be fastened to any other wires.

hy thanks sick take intercooler off , the wire loom is defo inside case with another ready of wires can you lot tell me exacly where the other end goes as i cant notice her and ill have information technology out and fully audit ,
