four. Click onColors in the Personalization window.......Where? there is no word colors in my window. My issue is that in previous versions of Windows, I was always able to go into the settings to modify the color of the window groundwork (my fav light light-green), so that when I opened a Microsoft Word or Excel file, the background color on my screen was low-cal green - much easier on the optics than bright white. The "windows background" pick allowed that erstwhile colour chart to open upwards, where I could movement the cursor effectually to find the verbal shade I was looking for (alla Win 98, 2000, XP, 2007, etc). Now, in Microsoft 10, I can find no such choice. All my application backgrounds are white, the meridian menus are white, etc - ugly and hard on the eyes. Where tin I find the characteristic to customize colors of windows applications? Cheers

It is in fact not important if he finds this setting, because it isn't the ane he is looking for.

The 1 yous are pointing to has to practise with the color for the Starting time Menu and taskbar, and in the future it will be the i used on the tiptop border of the application window.

Merely he is looking to override the background color the application is using in their windows.

Windows 10 doesn't have this setting.  It has been removed just like some of the other settings that control fonts and such in applications.

Note I'one thousand just another user trying to help.

Looks like Deepika misunderstood your question.

More often than not editing that value is not currently exposed via a user interface.  If you're more technical: what are the values under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors

?  I don't have your CAD software installed so don't know what color they're pulling in, but those would be the usual suspects.  Is the background color in any other awarding dark grey, or is information technology merely that CAD software?  Knowing an inbox Windows component that was also doing this would help place what color might be set oddly/differently on your organisation.

AppWorkspace 171 171 171

inbox Windows component - don't know what that ways.

I was looking for the same affair.  The white background is very harsh & extremely hard on the optics.  I am on the computer all 24-hour interval, as are well-nigh people at present, & my optics are shot.  I would so appreciate an option to soften this background color.  If ever there is a fix, I hope that I am alerted!
